AI Interface

The AI Interface lets you manage Aimly conversationally instead of clicking through menus. You can ask it to create campaigns, find leads, review performance, or adjust automations in plain language — and in most cases, it can do it faster and more easily than doing the same thing manually through the dashboard.

Before you start: connect a Gemini API key

The AI Interface requires a Gemini API key to function — without one configured, the chat won't be able to process your requests. Add your key in Globals before using this feature.

Your chat history

Previous conversations are saved and listed on the left side of the screen, so you can pick up an old chat where you left off or start a new one at any time. This is useful for revisiting a past campaign setup or checking what you asked it to do previously.

What it can do

  • Create and configure campaigns — name a campaign, pick a sending brand, and set messaging guidelines, attachments, and a sending calendar.
  • Manage leads — add leads, enroll them into campaigns, tag them with categories, or check who's opted out or bounced.
  • Build automations — add follow-up steps to a campaign's sequence and adjust delays between them.
  • Check performance — ask how a campaign is doing, what's queued to send, or how deliverability looks for a brand.

Almost anything you can do by clicking through the dashboard, the AI Interface can do too — usually in a single message instead of navigating multiple screens. For example, instead of opening Campaigns, creating one, then switching to Leads to enroll contacts, you can just ask it to do both in one go.

What it can't do yet

AI-generated email copy (writing subject lines and body text from scratch) requires credentials stored securely in your browser session. If you're working with Aimly through certain integrations or automated tools, AI-written content may not be available — you'll be prompted to use a saved template instead, which works everywhere.

Everything else — reading, editing, enrolling leads, scheduling, sending, and running audits — works the same regardless of how you access Aimly.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific about which campaign or brand you mean — Aimly won't guess when there's ambiguity.
  • If you want AI-written copy and it's unavailable, ask to write from a template instead; it's just as fast to set up once the template exists.
  • You can ask "how is my campaign doing?" instead of digging through stats screens — the AI Interface will summarize sends, opens, and replies for you.
