Email provider integrations
Aimly Email connects a sending mailbox through SMTP and IMAP. SMTP sends campaign mail; IMAP detects replies and reads the Sent folder used for baseline and delivery workflows.
For password-based providers, use an app password, not your normal mailbox password. For Outlook and Microsoft 365, Aimly also supports Microsoft OAuth2 device sign-in, which avoids storing an app password.
| Provider | SMTP | IMAP | Recommended authentication |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gmail | smtp.gmail.com:587 | imap.gmail.com:993 | App password |
| Outlook.com | smtp-mail.outlook.com:587 | outlook.office365.com:993 | Microsoft OAuth2 or app password |
| Microsoft 365 | smtp.office365.com:587 | outlook.office365.com:993 | Microsoft OAuth2 or app password |
| Yahoo | smtp.mail.yahoo.com:587 | imap.mail.yahoo.com:993 | App password |
| iCloud | smtp.mail.me.com:587 | imap.mail.me.com:993 | App-specific password |
Use TLS and port 587 for SMTP. The dashboard fills the Sent folder for known providers; it is important that this matches the mailbox’s actual folder.
