MCP Server reference

Aimly's MCP server is available at https://mcp.aimly.online/. It exposes tools for Aimly Email, Audit, and Finder through Streamable HTTP.

Getting an API key

  1. Click your account name in the top right of any Aimly dashboard.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Go to the API Keys tab.
  4. Click Generate to create a new key.

Treat your API key like a password — anyone with it can access your Aimly account through the MCP server. If a key is ever exposed, revoke it from the same screen and generate a new one.

Authentication

MCP clients can authenticate either with an Aimly API key or through the OAuth Connect flow offered by the client. In both cases, send a Bearer credential. API keys are validated by the relevant Aimly backend; OAuth access tokens are verified by the MCP server before tool execution.

Authorization: Bearer aimly_your_api_key

Available tools

The server registers tools covering most of what's available by clicking through Email, Audit, and Finder. This spans things like:

  • Email — brands, mailboxes, leads, campaigns, templates, attachments, categories, sending workflows, and statistics.
  • Audit — access checks, mailboxes, and audit jobs.
  • Finder — access checks and discovery jobs.

This list isn't exhaustive — new tools are added as Aimly's products grow, so treat the categories above as examples of what's covered rather than a complete inventory.

AI generation is the exception. Writing email copy from scratch and starting an AI lead search need the AI model key from your Integrations settings, which lives in your dashboard browser session and is never sent to an MCP client — those tools answer with an error asking for a template instead. Generate from a saved campaign template, and set automation step text directly rather than leaving the step on AI mode.

Tool availability follows your Aimly account permissions. The server forwards your credential to the product backend; it does not hold a separate copy of your account data.
