AI Interface
The AI Interface lets you manage Aimly conversationally instead of clicking through menus. You can ask it to create campaigns, find leads, review performance, or adjust automations in plain language — and in most cases, it can do it faster and more easily than doing the same thing manually through the dashboard.
Before you start: add an AI model API key
The AI Interface needs an AI model API key before it can process requests. In the Aimly dashboard, open Account → Integrations, choose your provider and model, then add the key. Aimly supports Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, xAI, and compatible custom providers.
Your chat history
Previous conversations are saved and listed on the left side of the screen, so you can pick up an old chat where you left off or start a new one at any time. This is useful for revisiting a past campaign setup or checking what you asked it to do previously.
What it can do
- Create and configure campaigns — name a campaign, pick a brand and a sending mailbox, and set messaging guidelines, attachments, and a sending calendar.
- Manage leads — add leads, enroll them into campaigns, tag them with categories, or check who's opted out or bounced.
- Build automations — add follow-up steps to a campaign's sequence and adjust delays between them.
- Check performance — ask how a campaign is doing, what's queued to send, or how deliverability looks for a mailbox.
Most of what you can do by clicking through the dashboard, the AI Interface can do too — usually in a single message instead of navigating multiple screens. For example, instead of opening Campaigns, creating one, then switching to Leads to enroll contacts, you can just ask it to do both in one go.
What it can't do yet
Asking the AI Interface to write email copy from scratch or run an AI lead search doesn't work yet. Those actions need the AI model key from your Integrations settings, which Aimly keeps in your browser session and can't hand to the automation layer the chat runs on — so the request comes back asking for a template instead. The same limit applies to MCP clients and anything else driving Aimly through an API key.
Write a campaign template with the subject and body you want, then ask the AI Interface to generate emails from that template. For automation steps, ask it to set the step's text directly rather than leaving the step on AI mode.
Everything else — reading, editing, enrolling leads, scheduling, sending, and running audits — works normally.
Tips for better results
- Be specific about which campaign, brand, or mailbox you mean — Aimly won't guess when there's ambiguity.
- If you want AI-written copy and it's unavailable, ask to write from a template instead; it's just as fast to set up once the template exists.
- You can ask "how is my campaign doing?" instead of digging through stats screens — the AI Interface will summarize sends, opens, and replies for you.
